A genuine Hypertherm plasma torch swirl ring for the Duramax torch as used with the Powermax 45XP plasma cutter.

This swirl ring, part number 220857 is one of the least changed parts when using a plasma torch. The swirl ring controls the swirling action of the gas around the electrode which centres the arc through the nozzle.

WHEN TO REPLACE: The swirl ring should be inspected for cracks, holes and deformities when changing other consumables. On average, a swirl ring can last up to 15 electrode and nozzle changes. A video on when to change the swirl ring is available.

The 220857 swirl ring is for use between 10 and 85A for the following processes:

Drag cutting and extended reach cutting
Precision, extended reach and max control gouging
Marking
This swirl ring can also be used on the Powermax 65, 85 and with some Powermax 105 processes.
