HYPERTHERM ELECTRODE 220777 GENUINE

Genuine long life Hypertherm plasma torch electrodes for the Duramax torch as used with the Powermax 45XP plasma cutter.

These CopperPlus electrodes, part number 220777 offer up to double the lifespan of the standard electrode.  Designed for Duramax®, Duramax Lock and Duramax retrofit torches, CopperPlus™ electrodes deliver at least two times the life over standard Duramax electrodes when cutting metal 12.5 mm (1/2″) and under. Double the life means you can cut more parts with fewer changeovers – increasing uptime and reducing your operating costs.

The electrode provides power to the plasma arc.  An insert at the tip of the electrode is made from a material with a very high melting point, such as Hafnium.  As the electrode wears, the insert will slowly erode away, forming a small hole in the electrode tip.

WHEN TO REPLACE:  Hypertherm recommend changing the electrode once the pit in the tip reaches approx 1mm in depth.  Failure to replace an electrode can cause a blowout which will damage both the electrode and nozzle.  If you need to slow down the cutting speed, are experiencing green discolouration of the arc or the arc is misfiring it is time to change the electrode.

The 220777 electrode is for use between 15 and 105A for the following processes:

Drag cutting and flush cutting
Mechanized cutting
These electrodes are also suitable for the Hypertherm Powermax 65, 85 and 105 models which use Duramax torches or older machines with the Duramax torch upgrade.

Duramax retrofit torches are available for Powermax1000, Powermax1250, Powermax1650, Powermax600, Powermax800, Powermax900, MAX42 and MAX43 systems.
