Presenting the remarkable acetoxy cure silicone sealant, Everbuild Silicone 500, which cures fast to give a high-strength, permanently flexible waterproof seal. With its strong fungicide to stop mould growth, Everbuild Silicone 500 is designed especially for hygienic applications and high-humidity locations.

USES:

  • Perfect for condensation- or high-humidity-prone interior sealing.
  • Ideal for sealing around basins, showers, baths and sanitaryware.
  • Seals well around laminates and worktops.
  • Good for sealing the caps on PVCu, wood, and metal window frames.
  • Uses as an adhesive to fasten PVCu panels and trimmings.
  • Excellent for all around weatherproofing uses.

Under the Construction Product Regulation, certified for facade, glazing, cold climate, and sanitary uses under the harmonised European standard EN15651.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Make sure every surface is dusted, dry and clean. Before applying, remove all previous sealant, mastic joints, and loose or flaking surface coatings. For best adherence, clean glass, metal and aluminium with a special solvent cleaner. Testing a small area first, porous surfaces may need priming.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Not to be used with bitumen or asphalt; use Weather Mate instead.
  • Avoid using on very porous surfaces, such as freshly laid concrete or stonework; instead, prime or use SILICONE 450.
  • Use only with substrates that won’t bleed solvents, oils, or plasticizers.
  • Use SILICONE 450; not to be used next to or in conjunction with the edge sealant of double-glazed units.
  • Use SILICONE HM60 or SILICONE 450 instead of uPVC perimeter pointing.
  • Use LEADMATE SEALANT instead; not for use on soft metals like brass or lead.
  • Not overpaintable; use Weather Mate if overpainting is necessary.
