Genuine Binzel MB15 MIG gas shroud does more than you might think, the MB15 gas shroud helps ensure you make consistent good welds without porosity by directing your expensive shielding gas around the weld pool expelling the surrounding air preventing the oxygen affecting the fusion weld pool.  Binzel MB 15 gas shrouds may cost slightly more but you know they fit correctly, don't fall off and can be easily removed and replaced when cleaning is required.

Don't allow weld spatter to clog the outlet of your Binzel MB15 gas shroud as spatter can adversly affect the shielding gas flow and therefore the integrity of your weld.
To avoid the spatter welding to the contact tip and gas shroud use tip dip gel.
